The Medicinal Chemistry, DFCI

Overview of The Medicinal Chemistry Core

The mission of the Medicinal Chemistry Core at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is to collaborate with Institute researchers to deliver high quality small molecule probes and lead therapeutics for cancer models being studied by the collaborating scientist.  These collaborations typically initiate with the medicinal chemistry team assisting with prioritization and validation of HTS hits, and progress through lead optimization to yield compounds with excellent potency and drug-like properties.  The Medicinal Chemistry Core is comprised of experienced medicinal and synthetic chemists with lab space located on Dana-Farber’s Harbor Campus.

If you are interested in working with the medicinal chemistry core on a probe/drug discovery project please initiate the process by filling out a services request form on the 'Request Services' tab.  Pick the most appropriate of two forms, either ''Analysis of HTS actives, hit validation and/or target identification" or "Probe/drug discovery collaboration"  to help us learn a little about your project.  We will then contact you to set up a meeting to discuss in more detail the goals of the project and how we can help meet them.

We are also happy to assist researchers in obtaining reference compounds needed in their research.  To initiate the process, fill out Reference Compounds Project Request on the 'Request Services' tab.
